Animation Options

The Animation Options panel displays controls for creating object animation paths. Paths are created by adding waypoints (also known as keyframes) using the path arrow gizmo. The play button will preview the animation at the speed entered in the speed control.

  • Draw Animation Path - Use this to draw an animation path. By clicking this icon a broad arrow key appears in the selected object, by moving your mouse you an create the animation path. A single left-Click of mouse define a keypoint, further clicking will be create another point and in this process a Animation path will be created.
  • Looping - Use this to close the animation path into a loop. After drawing a animation path with many a keypoint, this looping helps to close the loop by joining with first point.
  • Pendular - It gives a pendula path of animation, The object will go with the created direction and after that it will return to the Start point with the same path.
  • Play - Playback the animation path.
  • Pause - Pauses the keyframe for N seconds.
  • Select Previous Keyframe - At the time of creating the animation path there are several keypoint is being used. This key help to Selects the Previous keypoint from current keypoint.
  • Select Next Keyframe - At the time of creating the animation path there are several keypoint is being used. This key help to Selects the Next keypoint from current keypoint.

SettingDescription
  • Use the Speed bar to set the speed of the animation.
  • The Start After setting will halt the animation for the specified number of seconds at the start of each animation loop.
  • Repeat After controls when the animation loops back to the starting point. If the Repeat After setting is set to a value longer than the animation sequence, the object will halt at the end of the path until the repeat after period is reached.
  • Offset Start offsets the entire animation sequence from time zero on the animation time line. This allows staging multiple animation sequence such as pedestrians crossing an intersection followed by cars proceeding through the same intersection.
In Activation there are three properties, with the help of these options an trigger animation can be control.
  • Hide when inactive : Hide the animation when paused.
  • Back and forth activation : Start the animation back and forth (normal, reverse, normal, reverse, etc.)
  • Can interrupt : It can interrupt a running animation.

Triggers Reaction shows the animation which is already associate with the selected items. Also the triggers can be adjusted or controls from this option.

Free Body Animation

Imported objects can be animated in a free body fashion with no ground constraints by selecting the "Free Move" option form the physical model pull-down menu. In animation Dialog box, there are different option for the object in which it can be animated.
